We are looking for a tradesman/woman with a positive mindset who is keen to develop their skills across multiple trades and progress to be a site foreman. The projects are the creation and refurbishment of dental practices and surgeries, and the attention to detail is absolutely key. We are not your average “builder”, we are a professional project managing company that designs and builds the most inspirational practices in the UK. There is a huge range of the size of project from £10,000 to £350,000 and we apply the same level of detail to all aspects. We operate between South Birmingham and Carlisle and everywhere in between.

From £25,000 to £35,000 per annum flexible based on experience/ability.
Contributing and understanding the construction drawings to ensure deliverability.
Carrying out on site works, safely and efficiently with an eye always on excellent customer service.
Liaising with the client, project manager and office team to deliver projects to an excellent standard.
Manage of Health and Safety on site, including management of CDM 2015 Regs.
Basic Job Description
Responsibility to prepare a site for a project liaising with the project manager, so protecting existing finishes and ensuring areas that we are not touching are safe.
Projects are often carried out in existing practices so there is often weekend and night work which ensures the practice keeps running during the day.
Responsibility for Health & Safety on site. Ensuring the site is safe for the trades to work, and it is kept tidy and secure throughout the project.
Execution of the specific trade work that you are qualified in, ensuring that the work is high quality and tidy.
The responsibility for coordinating and overseeing the various additional trades on site ensuring they arrive on schedule and deliver a high quality and completed job.
It is worth mentioning that dental practices are often quiet in non-school times, so there needs to be an awareness that these times will be busy.
Ensuring projects are carried through right to completion, following through snagging lists and delivering the final handover and bouquet.
Qualification and experience in a trade ideally joinery or shopfitting.
A willingness to liaise closely with other trades and any form of training required would be offered and supported by the company.
We require a significant attention to detail, bear in mind the clients we are dealing with often treat their practice as their own home and require that level of detailed finish to the project. Slap dash finishes and a “that’ll do” attitude is not suitable for this role.
Essential Personal Attribute
Honesty, Trustworthiness & Reliability.
Attention to detail and cleanliness.
Willingness, flexibility and working as part of a small team.
Ultimately customer service focused.
Experience in multiskilled environment.
Fast paced and thorough.

Time and a half outside of “reasonable travel”. We will endeavour to keep this to a minimum. We consider 30 mins either side of work times to be reasonable travel.
Hours and Place of Work
8:30am – 5:00pm. There is an element of flexibility in these. The role is a remote based role covering roughly 2 hours from the head office; however we have quarterly team meetings where we like to have some team together time.
We understand that you will require training. This will be carried out in a mixture of manufacturer training on site at their facilities, and then on the job training with a combination of the engineers we have on board.
There is a pension scheme in place with NEST, our contribution increases in line with government guidelines.
We would be offering an initial holiday allowance of 28 days including bank holidays. We do request that some are retained for the Christmas period at the end of the year when things are particularly quiet. We are very flexible on holidays etc, however these are normally accrued at a rate of approximate 2.41 days per month.
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance in this role; salary, bonus and other such specific monetary matters should be kept confidential.
At present there are no strict uniform requirements, we do provide t-shirts or proper shirts subject to your requirements. We require black trousers, either combat style or smarter style. Shoes should ideally be safety shoes, they should be black and not overly casual. Jackets can be provided as well.
A vehicle will be provided for your use, and you will be responsible to maintain it at all times.
Global Dental is destined for great things, we have a vision to fulfil and want to become the leading design and build house in the first dental and ultimate private healthcare market.
This role will potentially develop into a project/contract’s manager, being fully responsible for delivering projects to a high standard and on budget. Training for any qualifications could be provided if suitable candidate.
Further development into the design and scoping of projects could be an alternative route, working with clients to come up with inspiring designs and concepts to secure projects and long-term customers.
